We are ROGOR and DEBBIE LIGHT – a couple of modern-day dreamers, soon-to-be ocean voyagers and seekers of life’s adventures. We recently sold our home and now we’re stepping forward towards our adventure in hopes of sailing the world.
Inspired by the stories of countless others, actively sharing their dreams on-line, we’ve finally decided to take steps necessary to join those brave souls out on the water. We decided it is finally time to disconnect from traditional life’s routines to embrace a life of travel. We want to see, to feel, and savor more of what life has to offer. We’re breaking the bonds of the “normal” for the possibility of the exceptional!
While we have yet to depart on any long range adventures and there’s still much to be upgraded, we have begun the process. Preparing a production built sailboat to a bluewater sailing vessel isn’t an overnight activity. There’s still a long list of upgrades and repairs to be completed – both for safety and comfort, before pulling anchor and setting off into the sunset.
There is also still much to be learned too about living on and operating a catamaran. Most of our coastal sailing experiences to date have been on smaller monohulls. We’re even now moving onto the boat to live full time before departure. We’re doing everything we can to adapt early to our new home.
Come join us as we change, learn, struggle and rejoice in our preparations to sail beyond the horizon.
Join us on our adventure!
